411 Main St. – County Office Building — The County Office Building was erected in 2003 replacing the block of late 19th and early 20th century buildings seen in the photo. Newberry’s with it’s 1950s facade was actually the joining of 3 attached buildings into one store.
422 Main St. - Catskill Village Building — The current building was constructed in 1929 by the Catskill Order of Elks after a 1928 fire destroyed 16 buildings on Main & North Sts. The building was sold to the Village when operating expenses became a burden. This building replaced Kortz Furniture Store, which stood for many years on the site.
428–430 Main St. — In 1906 this building housed the I. W. Brandow’s store, selling flour, corn oats, seed and hay.
